Sunset from Stonefields
The tag-end of the most remarkable sunset that I ever saw. The bungalow is set on the edge of a cliff several hundred feet above the sea, facing west towards the sunset. you can see for thirty or fourty miles, and the nearest land to the west is Central America, hundreds of miles away.
Looking across the seascape, the clouds form their own distant shoreline and mountian range. As the light changed, everything went lavender, then a profound shade of deep plum. I've never seen a lavender Sea. Near the end, a freighter leaving Sofriere slipped into the composition.

Deck of the Bungalow
The bungalow is a simple square structure, with kichen/sitting room, bedroom, outside shower, and deck. All made of local hardwoods, it is solid and serviceable, of the unornamented island style.

Deck and Breakfast
I travel with my own cook, and Marie prepared a breakfast of omlettes, toast, and local fruit. Far below is a vintage hundred foot yacht anchored in the shelter of the Pitons.
Not visible in this picture, the famous Pitit Piton rises a thousand feet above the bungalow, filling much of the southern view.

Bungalow Livingroom
The inside of the bungalow at Stonefields Resort, St. Lucia. Just right for a couple, with a serviceable kitchen, bedroom, bath, and deck, all done in native hardwoods.
I spent one whole day in the hammock on the deck - napping, reading, and just looking at the view.
